Photo Treks – Archived Page

“Very enjoyable, relaxing and fun, whilst learning an awful lot in a few hours.”  Nicky B

Our Photo Treks are a great way to have an enjoyable, stimulating walk in a beautiful place, and have “real-world” photography training at the same time.

On the Photo Trek I’ll show you how to see images in the world around you, and you’ll learn the camera techniques needed to capture those images.

You don’t need to be an experienced photographer, or have a complicated camera, to benefit from the Treks (although experienced photographers with complicated cameras are welcome!).  You may find it useful to know how to use your camera’s Exposure Compensation control.  You can find out how to do this in your camera’s manual, but don’t worry if you can’t, we can sort it out on the day.

Photo Treks are for a maximum of 10 people, which ensures that you’ll have individual attention.  They are suitable for any adult, as long as you have a reasonable level of fitness, as they can involve steps, uneven surfaces and grassy slopes. You’re welcome to come on your own, as a couple, or as a like-minded group of friends.

Day Photo Treks run from 10am till 4.30pm, and half-day Photo Treks run from 2pm to 5.30pm.

Go to the Training Calendar for dates, locations and prices, and to book your place on a Trek.  Previous “Trekkies” often send me images they are particularly pleased with.  Here’s a selection; there’s room to add yours…
